To ensure every detail was perfect, we printed a resin model of the ring in black. This model not only allowed the client to visualize the final product but also ensured the fit was exactly as desired.

The ashes were carefully placed inside the ring and permanently sealed, with no visible screw or opening to detract from its elegant design. This feature was particularly important to the client, who wanted the ring to seamlessly resemble fine jewelry while being durable enough for everyday wear. Since the client works with their hands, the permanently sealed cavity provides peace of mind by keeping the cremains safe from exposure to daily elements.

The Damian Pendant was inspired by our client’s vision and modeled after our popular Gold Patterned Round pendant, one of our signature permanently sealed cremation designs.

What sets this piece apart are the unique details and craftsmanship tailored to our client’s preferences. The pendant was crafted in solid 14k gold, featuring an intricate patterned front that demanded precision and care. Maintaining the fine details during polishing was a challenge, as patterns like this can easily lose definition. To preserve its beauty, we used a specialized casting technique and finished it with a magnetic pin finisher, ensuring the pattern remained crisp and flawless.

Our client wanted the ashes discreetly sealed inside, without any visible screws or openings that might indicate it was ash jewelry. The pendant was permanently sealed after the ashes were placed, giving it a polished, seamless appearance while making it completely waterproof—perfectly aligned with the client’s needs.

To ensure the design met their expectations, we printed several resin models of the pendant in black. Through collaborative adjustments and additional prints, we achieved a final proof that was exactly what the client envisioned.

TThis signet ring was an absolute joy to create and is one of our favorite pieces to date! As much as you might think something similar already exists, this design is truly one of a kind. Signet rings are naturally suited for holding ashes, thanks to their raised design, which is perfect for initials, engravings, or any meaningful personalization. The simple yet elegant style of this piece is exactly what our client was looking for.

Initially, the client debated between solid 14k yellow gold and 14k white gold. After discussing their options, they chose yellow gold for several reasons. Yellow gold is often immediately recognized as solid gold, while sterling silver and white gold can appear similar in color. Additionally, the client had previously experienced a mild allergic reaction to white gold, likely due to the nickel-based alloy commonly used in jewelry. While palladium-based white gold is hypoallergenic, it is more expensive and presents certain challenges during crafting. Considering these factors and their prior experience, yellow gold was the ideal choice.

To ensure everything was perfect, we printed a resin model of the ring, allowing the client to confirm the design and size before giving the go-ahead. The final casting turned out beautifully. As requested, the ring features no visible openings for the cavity holding the ashes, resulting in a seamless design indistinguishable from traditional jewelry. The ashes were securely placed, and the ring was permanently sealed, making it both elegant and practical for everyday wear.

This allowed the client to touch, hold, and get a feel for the pendant before production began. For crafting, we use two methods: casting with molten silver or cutting with a laser. For this pendant, we opted for laser engraving, which delivered exceptional detail and precision.

The client chose Sterling Silver as the base metal, enhanced with a sleek layer of black Cerakote. Cerakote is a firearm-rated finish known for its durability and beauty. As Factory Certified Applicators, we trust Cerakote to provide a tough, long-lasting finish that elevates the pendant’s aesthetic.

Creating this piece required experimenting with new techniques. We developed a unique method using our 80-watt laser to achieve a detailed and refined finish. The coin was then meticulously polished by hand to a mirror-like shine.
